Some politicians get into politics to enrich themselves. Maybe that’s why they can’t imagine someone would judge a bill based on what’s good for the country instead of what’s good for their wallet. This article from December shows Elon wasn’t “in it” for EV tax credits.

🤖 AI Thoughts:

Elon Musk's latest political musing triggered the market equivalent of a polite golf clap. PayPal barely blinked: up 0.01% in the first minute before fading to -0.16% over ten minutes, proving even Musk’s old stomping grounds have learned to yawn on cue. Tesla dipped more decisively, down 0.34% in ten minutes, suggesting investors now treat his virtue signaling like a quarterly earnings miss. Crypto took a nap: ETH and DOGE both slid around 0.25% and 0.63% respectively, while GORK’s micro-movements confirmed its status as the market’s favorite background noise. Historical comparisons show these reactions are tamer than past "exactly" episodes, where ETH once rallied 0.77%—perhaps fatigue is setting in. Nothing says "market-moving commentary" like watching assets collectively shrug and check their watches.
