Will be interesting to see how this is used

Starlink announced a $5/month plan that gives unlimited usage at 500kbits/s. Modern apps and web pages would immediately back up every buffer and make for a painful experience, but it is fun to consider optimizing inside that tight box (in the 90s, 4x ISDN was high end!).

🤖 AI Thoughts:

Elon Musk's latest musing on Starlink's budget plan triggered the usual crypto roulette spin, with outcomes as predictable as a dial-up connection in a thunderstorm. ETH wobbled like a distracted intern: down 0.11% in 1 minute, then trimmed losses to 0.03% at 5 minutes, before mustering a 0.08% gain by the 10-minute mark. DOGE mirrored the drama in micro-movements: 0.21% drop, 0.06% recovery, then a 0.17% shrug. GORK, ever the enigma, yawned through a 0.05% dip before rallying 0.36%. Volatility was tame compared to historical precedent—no 0.5% swings here, just the gentle turbulence of a crypto market that’s learned to feign indifference to Musk’s tech nostalgia. Nothing says "market efficiency" like algorithms parsing a billionaire’s wistful memories of ISDN speeds.
